I have the best video to share with you! Ever since watching this I have had thought after thought come to my mind. I am rapidly writing down these thoughts so I can share with you. I love this woman. I love her strength, resolve, commitment to God and truth, her love and passion. I hope I can speak as boldly as she does and declare my witness of God so passionately. Enjoy! The cost is $10.00 for an individual and $30 for a family of 5. All children/adults with Down syndrome are free. All proceeds go to support the UDSF. For those of you who have followed my blog for sometime you know that I was a monthly contributor to the website CraziBeautiful – a new online magazine for women. Well, since JD and I separated I haven’t been writing and I was just starting to think about something I could come up with for October. I just got an email that said that CraziBeautiful is going to be no more. Instead the name is changing to the Frosted Pear and it’s going to be a cooking/recipe website. I don’t think I’ll continue contributing because I have several other endeavors I’m seeking out right now. I’m grateful though for the time I was able to write on CraziBeautiful because it definitely helped me get out of my personal comfort zone and to share some of my gifts. Thank you for everyone who supported me and CraziBeautiful. If you are interested, stay posted on the progress of the Frosted Pear – the old site will soon be linking to the new. I've been pretty busy the past couple weeks getting ready for a 3-day boutique at the end of the month. I was approached on Etsy to participate and decided that it was worth a try. Now that I'm moving forward as a single mom I really want to stay at home with my kids. I know this is a lofty goal, but I really hope that at least for a year or two I can still be home with my little ones. I get some money coming in from child support and Social Security so I'm hopeful that things will work out for me. I know however if it comes down to me getting a job I will and am grateful to have a couple leads where I can work at home if it comes down to it. Right now I hope that I can make enough extra money from my cards or maybe from my herbal remedies to have a nice home business. The Hollyhock Boutique is a new boutique in West Point, Utah and will be open September 30, October 1st and 2nd. The ladies running the boutique are planning on having four events a year so if this goes well I hope to be returning. This is my first event of the sort so I have no clue what to expect. I have no idea how many card sets to bring so I'm just working as hard as I can and hope I have enough! If anyone has any suggestions for me I'm open to your great ideas. My space is 4x4, so not very big at all, but the entrance fee was so little that I decided it was worth it. Behind my booth is pegboard that I can use to hang stuff on as well. If you have any ideas on how I can set up my booth please let me know. In addition to my card sets, I've been tossing around the idea of having some of my Herbal Salve that I made for Mother's Day and possible some Hand Cream in a basket as well. The only problem with this idea is I don't have a ton of ingredients to make lots as well as I think I need a business name for my herbal remedies. Along with a name I'd love to have a logo, but that all seems like a lot to come up with by the end of the month! If you have any ideas for me, I'd love to hear from you. I heard this song again tonight and I was just feeling so happy knowing the truth of everything Josh is talking about. I’m feeling a lot of happiness right now despite the circumstances of my current situation. I love the line that says, “Hold on because there is good for those who love God.” I know this is true and God has truly blessed me with so much good in my life. I am grateful for all that I have, the amazing truths I have learned and continue to learn, and basically to sum it up, God’s grace and mercy! I open new doors to life  You are standing in the corridor of Life, and behind you so many doors have closed. Things you no longer do or say, or think. Experiences you no longer have. Ahead of you is a continuous corridor of doors-each one opening to a new experience. So you move away from the past. As you move forward, see yourself opening various doors on wonderful experiences which you would like to have. Trust that your inner guide is leading you and guiding you in ways that are best for you, and that your spiritual growth is continuously expanding. No matter which door opens or which door closes, you are always safe. You are eternal. You will go on forever from experience to experience. See yourself opening doors to joy, peace, healing, prosperity, and love. Doors to understanding, compassion, and forgiveness. Doors to freedom. Doors to self worth and self esteem. Doors to self love. It is all here before you. Which door will you open first? Remember, you are safe, it is only change. (Heart Thoughts, page 163) So the past month or so I've been working out a lot of my thoughts and feelings about marriage and relationships. I wanted to get my story about Miriam posted before I wrote this because if you read her birth story you'll know that my husband (now known on this blog as JD) was not present at her birth. I had found out shortly before my due date that he had a whole double life he had been hiding from me and to put it mildly I was a wreck. It had taken me weeks at that time to get to an emotional space where I wanted to know the truth. I worked at group on my denial and took responsibility of how I was in denial when I got remarried to him. I took responsibility that I had done my part in being deceived and acting like the victim in my life. I finally decided I was ready to uncover the truth and uncover I did. I was a woman on a mission to get to the bottom of his other life. How can you make progress with anyone unless you get to the bottom of what is truly going on and getting to the real issue? Well, I knew I couldn't proceed forth in my relationship unless I KNEW. Some women don't agree with me, and for that I am saddened. I know for a fact that I had given my power away to JD and I didn’t own my intuition and power as a woman. I KNEW that something was going on with him but I didn't know what and I didn't know how serious it was. The powers of heaven pour down upon a woman, wife, and mother when she wants to get to the bottom of the truth and I felt God's gentle hand guiding me through that time. If you have ever been through a similar experience you can vouch for the difficulty this causes and the faith it requires to decide to face something you have metaphorically swept under the rug.
 If you’re a regular on my blog then you will know that I absolutely love my midwife Rachel Talley and she helped me so much in the births of my last two children. In case you missed those stories click here to read more. Rachel has fourteen years of education and personal application in things relating to birth, healthy living, personal happiness, and emotional and spiritual progression and growth. She is offering a three day childbirth seminar that I highly recommend to anyone pregnant or not. Rachel says that these classes are not ONLY for pregnant couples. If you are even thinking about getting pregnant and wanting to prepare in a conscious, understanding, and gentle way....then these classes are ALSO FOR YOU!! Rachel has recently revamped her classes and along with the normal course information, she will be providing a rebirthing process and vision board, as part of the seminar. "The rebirthing process aids to recode the limbic imprinting by releasing the energy stored from a traumatic birth. It helps to move through unwanted energy and redefine, in a loving, peaceful way, a new imprint! You can create through preparation/visualization the birth you actually wanted and find the love you've been seeking for yourself and the world you live in! This process in not only for pregnant woman but for all human kind who is longing to create a place of understanding and personal growth in their lives. This is an AMAZINGLY POWERFUL process!" She will end the seminar by making a vision board. This is yet another powerful process that uses only your senses and intuition to truly "see" and "create" what you are wanting for your life....before, during or after your birth. The seminar begins Thursday, Sept. 30 and ends Saturday, Oct. 2nd. Thursday and Friday will run from 3 pm to 9 pm and Saturday will begin at 10 am and end around 2 or 3 pm. I only share this information so you can get to know me a little better. I have LOVED all things birth related since I was a small child. Since the birth of my first son 14 years ago, I have spent MANY, MANY hours reading, studying and taking classes on many subjects that teach about conception, pregnancy and birth. In 1999, I took the DONA course and began practicing as a doula. In 2005, I began my apprenticeship as a midwife and 2 years ago started taking my own clients. I am also very interested in other healing modalities.
